I wrote seven fics in November, around 13,000 words, in five fandoms. Three I'd written in before (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Wizards Of Waverly Place, Disney RPF), two I hadn't (Glee, Greek).

I Want To Hold Your Hand (Greek - Ashleigh/Rebecca - PG - 150 words) It's pretty much the same thing they do every night.


Don't You Forget About Me (Wizards of Waverly Place - Justin/Alex - PG-13 - 7005 words) All Alex wanted to do was to make Justin forget. (In which case, the spell could be called a success, but ... maybe not so much.) In which magic is used without permission, Justin gets amnesia, and Alex is definitely not his girlfriend.


Not-So-Good Titles For Murder Mysteries (Disney RPF - David Henrie/Selena Gomez - PG - 5335 words) In which David Henrie kills Joe Jonas (but not for real, probably).

Paparazzi (Disney RPF - Demi Lovato/Selena Gomez - PG - 467 words) Sometimes, when they're in public, Demi walks in front of her.


It's a lot less than the past couple of months, but I can live with that, especially since most of what I'm writing now isn't due for another few weeks or months, and because at least I finished the couple of major fics I was working on more or less around their deadlines. I'm also planning on taking it easy, a little, since I'm still recovering from that whole hospital thing, and because the last thing I want to do is burn myself out on writing just before my holiday ficathons and big bangs are due.

Goals for December: finish my prettylightsfic and yuletide fics, get more words my apocabigbang fics (including nailing down a plot for the second one, which is kind of giving me a headache), keep working on To Wish Impossible Things. Maybe write some Yuletide Madness, kink meme, and/or prompt fics if I have time for it.

Yay, you're writing me a fic! This is a thing I love, and I'm already excited to read it. If you already have an awesome idea you're totally excited to write, feel free to go ahead and do just that - I love every one of these fandoms, so I'm sure to enjoy anything you could possibly write, especially if you love it, too. But in case you're still looking for that perfect idea, these are just a few of the things I love in fic, and in the fandoms I requested, which may give you some idea of what would make me particularly happy.

My Alex the Vampire Slayer apocabigbang fic is plotted, yay! It will ... probably end up being significantly longer than the 10,000 word minimum, but that's okay; I still have three months to write it, after all. And I'm totally excited about it, which is awesome. Now if only the Disney RPF fic would come as easily.

In other news, Greek had its mid-season finale last night, and I'm going to miss it so much. But, thoughts on the episode:

A month ago, I wasn't sure if Justin/Alex fandom was big enough to sustain an entire kink meme (but screw it, it was an awesome idea).

Since omgjustinalex went live, people have left 97 prompts, and written 36 fics. And it's still going on. (This may not seem like a lot, compared to other fandoms, but we're teeny tiny, so I think it's totally impressive.)

Also, it looks like both Wizards Of Waverly Place and Disney RPF are qualifying fandoms for yuletide! Which is awesome; you guys already know I'm totally requesting WOWP fic for that, right?

And speaking of yuletide, I'm thinking my other requests will probably be Miss Match (again; I swear I'm going to keep requesting this fandom until somebody ever writes fic for it, you know you want to), Greek (also again), and maybe Centre Stage? Ooh, or She's The Man, yay! Disney RPF is tempting, but I'm thinking about requesting that, even as a wild card fandom, for prettylightsfic, so we'll see.

Ack, why can I not write? I'm trying to finish my spook_me David/Selena fic, and I love the premise, like, a lot, but actually getting it down is like pulling teeth. Yesterday I wrote 200 words! This was an improvement over the last four days. God, why is it hard?

Far more awesomely: prettylightsfic is running again this year! Besides yuletide, it looks like this may be the only holiday fic exchange I participate in this year (unless something new and awesome suddenly pops up - I would not say no to something Disney-themed, or even Glee), so I'm very excited. The poll to gauge interest in fandoms is up now, so if you have any interest in a multifandom RPF exchange, you should totally consider signing up, and go vote! And, I'm just saying - if you really love me (and are genuinely interested in participating), and wanted to suggest Disney RPF as a write-in fandom? I would totally not be opposed to that.

The last episode of Greek wasn't my favourite, but Ashleigh is adorable. As always. I'm kind of loving Eastwick (even though I'm not fully caught up yet), which I only really started watching because I love Jaime Ray Newman and Rebecca Romijn, but it's awesomely cracky and kind of enchanting. And I'm watching Flash Forward, mostly at talumin's behest, but the only things I really care about are a) Janis, b) John Cho, and c) WHAT WAS UP WITH THE RANDOM FREAKING WALLABY? Um.

ETA: Haha, this window has been open so long that I managed to watch The Plan before I finished posting! Thinky thoughts to come, possibly?

So, apparently this fic is going to be even longer than the last one. I still remember when the longest fic I'd written was 3000 words.

More briefly, and hopefully non-spoilery: Ryan and Esposito continue to be totally married on Castle (and possibly my all-time boyslash OTP? Like, I know I don't have a lot of those, but these guys, I ship them so very hard ♥). And I'm just going to assume that whenever Gwen and Morgana weren't onscreen in Merlin, they were off shagging like bunnies, y/y?

I signed up for purimgifts again this year, and I just got my assignment, which is awesome. After finishing a bunch of long fics all in a row, I think a low pressure fic gift basket is exactly what I need.

2) Caught up on watching The Office, and, ♥. I do love Jim and Pam, but I've fallen completely head over heels for Ryan/Kelly. I just - I really don't know. But they are currently one of my very favourite ships, and I love them to death. ( Season five spoilers + speculation )

3) remixthedrabble is currently open for sign ups! Sign up to be a remixee (to have your fics remixed) here, or to be a remixer (to remix someone else's fics) here, or both. I'm really looking forward to it, especially because, even though I have a million things to do at the moment, it's only a drabble or ficlet. Plus, remixes!

4) Trying to get as much as I can done before November (I'll be in New Zealand for a week to visit my mum, and then in Byron Bay for my dad's wedding), and work out what I can do now vs what I can take with me to do while I'm over there. Also, I'm finally writing stuff again, even if so far it's mainly ficlets/drabbles - I have my Sweet Charity fic to work on, plus a bunch of belated gift fics and a couple of late ficathon entries, but right now, I'm kind of zen about it; I know I'll finish what I have to, but I'm not giving myself a hard time about working on other things instead. Because, really, fandom is supposed to be fun, and if I start stressing I'm more likely to burn myself out than anything else. So, happy place.

1) GIP. My icon-making skills are less than excellent, but I needed this. "Muffin devil" is totally my new favouritest quote. Yes, I secretly ship Beaver/Rebecca.

2) Finished rewatching Greek with talumin, and it's even better the second time around. Partially because I already loved Rebecca, so I was on board with Cappie/Rebecca from the beginning, and partially because, without all the suspense in the late season one romantic subplots, they didn't seem like such a heavy focus of the show. And now I have to wait like normal people for new episodes, which is not fun :(

3) Have obtained Burn Notice, and am planning on watching it in the next few days. Given that it also stars Bruce Campbell, talumin is totally on board.

House inspection over and done - and hopefully we'll be extending our lease soon, so yay :D

I still haven't watched the Sarah Connor Chronicles season premiere (must do that tonight - I'm really looking forward to it). I did watch 90210, but don't really have much to say about it; the first half of the episode was fun, the rest was pretty much blah blah backtory blah blah angst blah. Hopefully, they've got that out of their system now, and they can move on.

Greek, however, was very happymaking.

Also, I'm completely caught up on Greek, which makes me happy. I think I enjoyed the first half of season one a lot better than the second - it felt like it got bogged down a little towards the end, with so much romantic drama that it kind of overshadowed everything else.

I'm about halfway through season one of Greek, and I'm completely in love. I heart Cappie like whoa ♥

Also, Calvin/Ashleigh BFF is adorable, and I seriously hope they make up.

Dude, Max Greenfield was on Greek? Why did nobody tell me this? I mean, yes, it was one of those shows I always kind of had on my radar of Shows I Should Watch Sometime When I Finally Get Around To It, and I've only heard good things from people I know who watch it, and I almost started watching it a few times, but - Max Greenfield? Consider me sold on the spot. People, you need to tell me these things.
